Groups

  • The OSAC Library is used to share resource documents with the entire OSAC membership and also provides a mechanism to share OSAC presentations, governance documents and archived webcasts with the public. **Specific standards and guidelines that are posted for public comment will be located in the relevant Scientific Area Committee (SAC) folders and not in the OSAC Library folder.
  • The Biology/DNA Scientific Area Committee (SAC) manages the activities of 3 subcommittees which include Biological Data Interpretation and Reporting, Biological Methods and Wildlife Forensics. Standards and guidelines posted for public comment by the Biology/DNA SAC will appear in this Kavi folder.
  • The Chemistry/Instrumental Analysis Scientific Area Committee (SAC) manages the activities of 6 subcommittees which include Fire Debris and Explosives, Geological Materials, Gunshot Residue, Materials (Trace), Seized Drugs and Toxicology. Standards and guidelines posted for public comment by the Chemistry/Instrumental SAC will appear in this Kavi folder.
  • The Crime Scene/Death Investigation Scientific Area Committee (SAC) manages the activities of 6 subcommittees which include Anthropology, Disaster Victim Identification, Dogs and Sensors, Fire and Explosion Investigation, Medicolegal Death Investigation and Odontology. Standards and guidelines posted for public comment by the Crime Scene/Death Investigation SAC will appear in this Kavi folder.
  • The Digital/Multimedia Scientific Area Committee (SAC) manages the activities of 4 subcommittees which include Digital Evidence, Facial Identification, Speaker Recognition and Video/Imaging Technology and Analysis. Standards and guidelines posted for public comment by the Digital/Multimedia SAC will appear in this Kavi folder.
  • The Physics/Pattern Interpretation Scientific Area Committee (SAC) manages the activities of 5 subcommittees which include Bloodstain Pattern Analysis, Firearms and Toolmarks, Footwear and Tire, Forensic Document Examination and Friction Ridge. Standards and guidelines posted for public comment by the Physics/Pattern Interpretation SAC will appear in this Kavi folder.
